In his own butcher shop, run by his mother and his wife Pia, in Murg on the beautiful Walensee, more and more customers are asking for ready-to-cook items that can only be cooked.
Ready-made spice mixtures are becoming more and more popular. People less and less want to experiment with different spices in front of the stove; instead, seasoning, cooking and eating deliciously is the big topic.
Peter Stettler recognized this trend and set about putting together the first spice mixtures. The older ones among us will probably still remember: at every butcher the sausages had their own authentic taste. The reason is simple: Back then, all butchers weighed and mixed the spice mixtures that went into the sausage themselves. Always fresh for every production.
The beginning of the “eifach fein chohä” trend was heralded at this point.
